Abstract:
Standard imsets are vectors associated to Bayesian networks. Studeny proved that these vectors span a convex polytope and that finding the network that best explains data is equivalent to linear optimization over this polytope. Understanding this polytope turned out to be a hard problem. We investigate the polytopes obtained by only allowing some subclass of Bayesian networks.
